What are we doing to protect our environment?
As an employer within the Essex area we have a duty of care to our employees and the community in which we operate our business. That responsibility also applies to the environment in general. As a business, our policy is to: • Assess the lasting impact to the environment of our operations • Where it is reasonably and commercially practicable, to reduce and if possible eradicate any activity that may be harmful to the environment • Set and continually review company environmental objectives in the areas of reducing pollution, reducing waste, reuse and recycling of waste materials • Use wood only from sustainable sources • Use local suppliers where possible • Where waste is unavoidable, ensure that it is disposed of using methods that are least harmful to the environment • Educate our workforce to be environmentally aware and promote individual responsibility for protecting the environment To show our commitment to being responsible towards our environment, Fleetshield has been accredited as conforming to the standards set by the internationally recognised Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001:2004 as our certificate shows.
